Consumer behaviour towards food waste in families with children
DCA rapport, nr. 196, 2022

Af Amanda videbæk Laasholdt, Liisa Lähteenmäki and Violeta Stancu

Large amounts of food produced for human consumption are lost or wasted along the supply chain, and households are the main contributors to the total amount of food waste in Denmark. Especially households with children tend to generate more food waste. This report examines drivers of food waste and food-related practices in households with children under 18 to gain insights into facilitators and potential barriers of food waste reduction at the household level.
Food waste drivers and barriers are examined through an online questionnaire among 487 adults with children in the household.
